This large corner property in Etobicoke had an expansive front and side yard that were under-utilized and lacked privacy from the road. Working with the existing trees and shrubs, we added substantial perennial planting to fill in the gaps and create a lush, verdant, and secluded garden space for the clients to enjoy.
To better connect the property, we installed a wide limestone stepping-stone walkway linking the front door and driveway to the backyard. At the midpoint of this path, we created a small patio with sectional seating—an occasional lounge area designed as an alternative to the main backyard patio. This secondary space offers a different perspective of the property, allowing the clients to relax, take in the blooming perennials, and catch the sunrise or sunset from an alternative angle.
